Long treasured for its health benefits, kombucha combines sweet tea with a yeast-bacteria culture for an effervescent drink low in calories and sugar, but high in probiotics and all the stuff your bubbe said would keep the doctor away. In her Phoenixville nano-brewery, Sorzano creates seasonal flavors like Rosy Apple and Asian Pear Ginger and year-round Flower Power. Baba’s got a shout out from Inquirer food critic Craig LaBan, and it’s popping up in bottles and on tap in over 100 locations. Look for the brewery’s new tasting room and BIY (Brew-It-Yourself) classes.
