Cheese making is both an art and basic chemistry. During this workshop, you will learn about the process of creating curd from fresh milk using rennet and other coagulants and go over some basic troubleshooting. We will also demonstrate how to stretch curd and make fresh, tender mozzarella. Sip on wine as you roll up your sleeves and leave with a cheesy masterpiece.
As a bonus, you will learn how to make fresh basil pesto, one of my favorite condiments for serving mozzarella. We will also talk about different types of olive oil and will make a quick Caprese salad to enjoy together.
